Ever wondered how meteorologists predict the weather? Well, Bojana from Macedonia knows the secrets of the trade. She’s currently working in the State Meteorological Institute. Her work there is different than in her previous internships, where she worked in experimental labs. This time she's working with a new software, FORTRAN.
My responsibility is to make a project in FORTRAN. I still don't know how to use it, I'm learning it now, but it will be useful when I go home. Also, the director of the Institute Mr. Čačić called the director of the Macedonian Meteorological Institute and told him that I’m working here. So when I go home it’ll be easier to get a job.
Bojana loves it here, everything form the people, habits and lifestyle to the country itself.
I didn’t have any trouble adjusting to life here, I felt at home from the first day I came here. Other trainees are great; they are friendly, communicative and helpful. Almost every night we go out to a different place. I’ve tried almost every kind of beer
I have so much to tell about Croatia when I go home… I think I won’t have enough time to explain how great it was here.
With every new day at work, Bojana’s knowledge is put to good use. Just check the weather at http://meteo.hr/index_en.php and you’ll see the weather service that she herself will someday create.
