About Tribunj

Tribunj is a charming fishing-village on the Croatian coast, between Zadar and Sibenik, with about 2000 inhabitants. Old Tribunj is situated on a small island connected by a stone bridge with the mainland. On the top of the hill there is an old cemetery and the St. Nikola church. Once upon a time an old city called 

 Jurjev grad was located here.The view from the hill is marvelous, because Tribunj is surrounded by many small and beautiful islands.The original scenery of an old Dalmatian town, the clean sea - according to records, probably the cleanest sea on the Adriatic, the rich sea flora and fauna make the sea of Tribunj suitable for swimming and underwater safari. 
Tribunj has the largest fishing fleet in central Dalmatia; when fishermen return from the sea, the promenade of Tribunj turns into a shop window offering fresh fish and other catch, contributing thus to a special atmosphere of this town. The offer of high-quality fish, mussels and crabs have made Tribunj a famous resort; the local speciality is fish ragout with polenta. Traditional feasts, the Tribunj Night and Fishermen's Night, are organized in the season.
There are ten restaurants, some bars, two pizzerias, three supermarkets, a bakery, a butcher etc. Tribunj is an excellent starting point for excursions, the cities Zadar, Sibenik, Trogir and Split are only  about 1 hour by car away.
There are two national parks in the vicinity: KRKA WATERFALLS and KORNATI ISLES, both well worth your visit.
Turistic Vodice is 3 km away. In Vodice you will find everything a turistic resort can offer you: discotheques, nightclubs, hotels etc.

How to get to Tribunj?

Your summer reception coordinator will give you the map and timetable of busses to Šibenik or Vodice. Tell to your summer reception coordinator when you will come to Šibenik or Vodice, so that we can arrange bringing you to Tribunj.

Local busses from Sibenik to Tribunj: 11:15, 12: 15, 14: 00, 15: 20, 16:15, 18:00, 20:00

Local busses from Vodice to Tribunj: 11:30, 12:30, 14:15, 15:35, 16:30, 18:15, 20: 15

What to bring:

• Swimming suite  

• Towels for beach and showering

• Sleeping bag (accomodation will be in local school in Tribunj so you'll need them J )

• Sun cream

• Hat

• Clotes for night life

• Money for fee and for drinks during they day / night

• Traditional clotes from your country  (if you got them with you)

Visa regulations for trainees outside Croatia:

Please check if you need visa for Croatia before comming to Croatia. If you do let us know about that 2- 3 weeks before Dalmatia weekend so that we can sent you invitation letter for embassy.
